Q:
Who are you?
A:
Muun and Chira are best friends who also happen to be each other's biggest fan. Muun writes, Chira draws, and together they create! That's about it.
Special credit also given to Airy, who letters Sfeer Theory starting with Chapter 2, and Nat, our site designer.

Q:
When does this update?
A:
There is a new page every Friday.
Q:
Only ONE page a week? Seriously? Can't you do more?
A:
Short answer: No.
Longer answer: Chira illustrates two full-time comics (Sfeer Theory and The Fox Sister) as well as managing freelance work and many other side projects with Muun. We can only ask for your understanding and patience for her intensive workload.
Q:
Where and how can I keep track of the updates?
A:
In addition to the site, Sfeer Theory pages are crossposted to DeviantArt, and updates are notified on LiveJournal, so if you follow either account you'll receive notice when there is an update. Chira posts update notices on her personal tumblr as well. For the most up-to-date news on the comic, it's best to follow our twitter account.
Q:
How often do the TWC vote incentives update?
A:
Incentives are best kept track of through the twitter account, as they're updated sporadically (basically: whenever Chira feels like it). They mostly consist of designs, concepts or progress shots relating to the comic.
Q:
I think I missed an incentive! Is there a way to see the ones I missed?
A:
Vote incentives will be made available for public viewing via its LiveJournal Account and DeviantArt Account usually after a month or two.
Q:
I'm confused. What is up with "Uitspan Age" and "Uitspan Era"?
A:
Sfeer Theory's story is pretty big. We chose to divide it into two storylines. The "Uitspan Age" was originally the main story, with the "Uitspan Era" being the prequel. Due to various reasons and just sheer happenstance, we are producing the "Uitspan Era" storyline first, but there is material available for the cast of the storyline for "Uitspan Age," if you poke around the right places.
Q:
What is the policy on using Sfeer Theory's artwork?
A:
Sfeer Theory is protected under NonCommercial-Attributed Creative Commons.
In summary: any original Sfeer Theory material on the site and subsequent official mirrors may be freely used, referenced, manipulated or remixed for any sort of personal use, public or private (i.e. using it for layouts, making icons, wallpapers, etc). It absolutely may NOT be re-produced for profit or put toward any unlawful action without the creators' knowledge and written permission.
Q:
I'd like to translate Sfeer Theory into [insert language], would that be okay?
A:
It is more than okay! We love and are extremely flattered by fan-translations. The only stipulations we ask for are that it must stay non-profit and credit is given. We also highly encourage you email us your site so that we may link your fan-translation in our links page when you complete it!
Q:
Why isn't there a comment section anywhere on the website/pages? Would you consider adding one?
A:
There are no plans to adding a comment section to the site in the foreseeable future. However, it's possible to leave commentary and feedback on our page mirrors such as DeviantArt and LiveJournal as that function has been built into those services! Additionally, if our fans wish to create forums to interact, they are free to, we just prefer avoiding creating an official one on the site.
Q:
How is the comic produced?
A:
Muun writes a script chapter and passes it to Chira. Chira then thumbnails the pages and, after Muun reviews them and approves them, she tackles the actual pages. Chira draws the comic pages directly into openCanvas 4.06E Plus using a 6x8" Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, then colours it in Adobe Photoshop CS3. Chira then passes the completed page to Airy, the comic's letterer, to apply the dialogue. It is thereafter resized for presentation on the site.
Q:
How long does it take Chira to complete a page?
A:
Way too long. It depends on a few factors: how difficult the page is, how ambitious Chira is feeling, and if she can draw that day. Simple pages can mysteriously take over 3 days to accomplish an the most complex may take less than 6 hours. There's no good reason why this happens. On average, though, it takes between 8-10 hours either all in one sitting or split across 2-3 days depending on how tired she is.
Q:
Are there plans for publishing Sfeer Theory?
A:
Yes! Due to large demand, Chira and Muun are working their hardest to have the first issue of Sfeer Theory printed before the end of 2011.
Q:
What inspired Sfeer Theory?
A:
An idea for shameless gay porn. For half a year its working title was "Gay Wizards." Chira and Muun got distracted by things like story and plot and awesome ladies.
Q:
Does this mean Sfeer Theory is a queer comic?
A:
Technically, yes, we suppose? That's not what the story is about, though. Sfeer Theory is a fantasy epic first and foremost, and it focuses on characters who are diverse in their sexual leanings. There will be queer romance, straight romance, platonic romance--and everything in between, but the point is the romance is a product of the plot, not the other way around.
Q:
Why isn't it spelled "Sphere Theory"? What sort of crazy, made-up words are "sfeer" and "uitspan" anyway?
A:
They aren't made up! They are real words, just words in Dutch. The Empire of Warassa has a Dutch name scheme, along with additional cultural influences, ergo "sfeer," which does actually mean "sphere" in Dutch.
Q:
Is Luca Italian?
A:
Luca is from the fictional country of Sevallia. Their language is basically Italian. Just go with it.
Q:
Is Luca gay?
A:
He isn't a very happy and mirthful fellow, if that's what you mean.
Q:
Weird, some people seem to know things and spoiler events not referenced on the site. Where are they getting this information?
A:
Sfeer Theory was first conceived in the LiveJournal community MineOyster, which is meant to be a brainstorming ground and development diary for Chira and Muun's original productions. As a result, there was already an established audience for the comic that was privy to a lot of developing material and character information.
While story/plot information has always been guarded and lately has been increasingly more so, the information that is available on MineOyster has to do with character background and basic premise, and extremely little to do with plot details. If audience members seek out or discover off-site information, we see it more as easter-egg rewards (such as TWC incentives) rather than something of a concern.
Q:
That's awesome, where do I join the community?
A:
It's a private, locked community freely available to LiveJournal users who apply for membership appropriately. Again, its main purpose is to act as a place to brainstorm original ideas between Chira and Muun and their developments for their many other projects. Sfeer Theory content can still be found on the community, but any Livejournal updates will now take place predominantly in its own account.

Q:
Do you offer advertising?
A:
Not at this present time.
Q:
May I link this site?
A:
Please do!
Q:
Maybe you can link me too?
A:
We do not do link exchanges by request. We link to what we like to read and want to promote. The problem is there is a long list of webcomics and very little time to read them! If we decline linking your comic, it is not because we hate it, it is likely because we haven't had the opportunity to read it.
Q:
Does Chira take commissions?
A:
Please email Chira for quotes and availability. Be warned: she is extremely busy and she is not cheap.
Q:
How come we don't see Muun around very often?
A:
Don't think too deeply on it. Muun is the dignified one, while Chira is the obnoxious one. You see Chira around more because she's louder and knows more HTML.
Q:
Where do I send questions/fanwork/whatever else?
A:
You can email either Chira or Muun or both; it will make it to both of them in the end.
